Department of Pediatrics, Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital

Founded in 2006, the Department of Pediatrics of Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital has grown steadily into a young, united and professionally competent medical team. The department has 29 physicians, including 10 senior professional title holders and 6 master’s degree graduates, as well as 16 nursing staff members. It undertakes the diagnosis, treatment and emergency rescue of common pediatric diseases as well as critical and severe childhood illnesses in surrounding communities.

The pediatric outpatient service includes general outpatient clinic, specialist clinic, growth and development clinic, and pediatric emergency clinic. The inpatient ward is equipped with 35 regular beds and 7 intensive care beds. The department diagnoses and treats common pediatric diseases, frequently encountered illnesses, as well as intractable and critical cases, covering pediatric subspecialties including respiratory, digestive, neurological, endocrine, nephrological, cardiovascular and hematological disorders.

It is equipped with advanced medical facilities, including 2 invasive ventilators, 1 CPAP ventilator, 3 respiratory humidification therapeutic devices, Philips defibrillators, Philips multi-parameter monitors, aerosol inhalation systems, pediatric dedicated resuscitation bags with various masks, and laryngoscopes, providing solid technical support for standardized diagnosis and treatment of various pediatric conditions.
