Department of Infectious Diseases, Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital
The Department of Infectious Diseases is a comprehensive clinical department integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It currently consists of outpatient and inpatient services. The outpatient division comprises the Fever Clinic, Hepatology Clinic and Intestinal Disease Clinic, with 9 authorized inpatient beds in the ward.
The department has a total of 8 medical and nursing staff, including 6 physicians and 2 nurses. The professional team includes 1 Chief Physician, 1 Associate Chief Physician, 3 Attending Physicians, 1 Resident Physician, 1 Associate Chief Nurse and 1 Supervisor Nurse.
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the department has been awarded many honors, including Advanced Collective in the Fight against COVID-19 (2020), Advanced Nursing Team of Longhua District, Shenzhen March 8th Red Flag Collective for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Medical Quality and Safety Award, and Advanced Department of Infection Control.
Scope of Diagnosis and Treatment
The department mainly diagnoses and treats cases including fever of unknown origin, viral hepatitis, jaundice of unknown origin, fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, unexplained elevation of transaminase, pulmonary infection, urinary tract infection, skin rash and other related diseases.
