Department Overview

The Department of Pain Medicine of Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital was established in 2016, with the Pain Clinic officially launched in September of the same year. It is one of the earliest independent specialized institutions for pain diagnosis and treatment in Longhua District.

The department is equipped with advanced pain diagnosis and treatment facilities, including an ozone therapeutic apparatus, Braun nerve stimulator, laser therapeutic instrument, and musculoskeletal ultrasound system. It mainly carries out lumbar injection therapy under musculoskeletal ultrasound guidance; ozone water irrigation of the knee joint cavity for knee synovitis; acupotomy combined with laser therapy for tendon and soft tissue lesions; and hook needle therapy for trigger finger and De Quervain's tenosynovitis. Centering on minimally invasive interventional therapy, the department maintains an advanced technical level in Longhua District.

Academic Status

The Pain Clinic is a large-scale specialized clinic in Longhua District featuring a large patient volume and a full spectrum of treated diseases, with an annual diagnosis and treatment volume of over 10,000 cases. In March 2017, the department officially became a member of the Medical Alliance of the National Key Clinical Specialty of Pain Medicine at Nanshan Hospital. It has completed 1 district-level scientific research project and published more than 10 academic papers related to pain medicine.

As an emerging, dynamic and enterprising clinical discipline, the Department of Pain Medicine is committed to providing dedicated medical services for patients. The clinic is open all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Treatment of various acute and chronic pains, including headache, cervical spondylosis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, tennis elbow, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, trigger finger, lumbar disc herniation, knee joint disease, ankle sprain, heel pain, postherpetic neuralgia, cancer pain and other painful conditions.
