Department of Sports Medicine, Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital

The Department of Sports Medicine is a comprehensive discipline integrating medical treatment, health care, scientific research and teaching. Centering on public health, it pursues coordinated development of sports trauma management, sports rehabilitation and exercise-based health promotion.

In terms of sports trauma, the department mainly focuses on medical problems associated with daily activities and physical exercise. It adopts arthroscopic minimally invasive techniques to treat and rehabilitate injuries and diseases of bones, joints and surrounding soft tissues, featuring minimal trauma, rapid recovery, favorable therapeutic effect and high safety.

The department is renowned for the specialized diagnosis and treatment of knee joint disorders, and adheres to the core motto: Function Priority, Early Rapid Rehabilitation, Return to Daily Life and Sports.

At present, the department provides both outpatient and inpatient services, with 24 inpatient beds available in the ward. In the future, it will establish an integrated sports-health system covering a sports rehabilitation center, a medical exercise health management center, and a national health assessment center, to realize in-depth integration of sports and medical services.
