Department of Ophthalmology

The Department of Ophthalmology has a professional medical team with high academic qualifications, outstanding professional capabilities and rich clinical experience. It has a total of 13 medical and technical staff, among which doctors with doctoral and master’s degrees account for over 70%. The team includes 1 professor and master’s supervisor, 1 visiting scholar who studied in the United States, 1 Chief Physician and 3 Associate Chief Physicians.

The department has 10 open inpatient beds with complete specialized supporting facilities, recording nearly 40,000 annual outpatient visits. It has developed into a professional team featuring a rational talent structure, exquisite medical skills, advanced equipment and high-quality services.

In addition to the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of common eye diseases, the department carries out a full range of specialized techniques, including:

Phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation;

Small-incision modern extracapsular cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation;

Combined glaucoma and cataract surgery;

Combined trabeculectomy;

Endoscopic nasolacrimal duct recanalization combined with lacrimal duct intubation;

Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy;

Complex ocular trauma surgery;

Microsurgical correction of complex strabismus;

Retinal laser photocoagulation;

Repair of complex retinal detachment;
